CONTEMPORARY MUSIC & COMPOSITION
Over the years, Cameron Roberts has been a member of many different contemporary music ensembles, including Plural Ensemble, Dead Horse Ensemble, and with members of Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid (ORCAM). He was winner of the inaugural Michael Kieran Harvey Piano Scholarship (2006) for furthering the venture of Australian piano music into the 21st Century. Several of his works have been performed and recorded internationally, including a recent recording of Sad Bird Blues (2008) by Australian pianist Ashley Hribar, and 'Nursery Rhyme Rhapsody (2016) for flute and piano commissioned and premiered by Jacques Zoon. Cameron's piano transcriptions have also featured in the Australian film, Lucky Miles (2007) and, most recently, in Litterae (2015) by Spanish director Jesús Villalta Lora.
